Our delivery charge is only £5.95 wherever you are in the UK and you can add to your order at any time up to midnight each day and just pay one delivery charge (or up to midnight Sunday on any orders that are placed on Friday and Saturday). We usually dispatch orders the working day after they are placed, on a Next day service using DPD – for example, orders placed on Tuesday should be dispatched Wednesday and arrive with you on Thursday.

If you tell us your mobile number at the checkout stage, we will text you with the date of delivery when we have dispatched your goods, if this date is not suitable simply follow the instructions on your text message and you can easily rearrange delivery for another day.

All deliveries are secure and therefore will need a signature on receipt. Your parcel can be delivered to any UK address.

Modifying your order

If you wish to modify your order after placing it, please contact our Help Team as soon as possible and they will do their best to assist you. Once an order has been picked we are unable to amend it, but you will be able to return any unwanted items under our 30 Day No Quibble Money Back Guarantee.

Tracking your order

Once we have shipped your order, we will email you to let you know it is on its way. This email will include a link to our courier DPD’s website that will enable you to track the progress of your parcel.

30 day "No Quibble" guarantee

Whenever you buy jewellery from us you have the benefit of our “No Quibble” 30 day guarantee, which starts on the day you receive your jewellery. If for any reason you are not satisfied with a piece of jewellery, just complete the returns form enclosed with your jewellery and send the item back to us for a full refund of the item price. Customising your Authenticity Card

Every piece of jewellery comes with a personalized authenticity card detailing the date of purchase, which precious metal has been used and what gemstones are in the piece. If you would like to change the name that will be printed on the card (perhaps if you are buying an item as a gift) then simply click on the ‘amend’ link in the basket next to the item and type in the name you wish to appear. You could even put a short greeting message if you wish.

How the auction works

Our auctions start at our RRP price (which is our genuine estimate of the price that the piece would sell for on the high street). The auctioneer will then demonstrate the item whilst reducing the price. You will be able to see how many of the item are available in the auction. If there is more than one of the item available then no matter what price you bid at, you will always pay the lowest price – the price that the auction ends at. If no-one bids for the item, the auctioneer can decide to end the auction and move on to the next piece.

What is the ‘Lock in Plunge’?

In an auction where we have multiple quantity of the item available the Lock In Plunge might be activated. This starts a race against time as the computer removes available items. If you manage to bid in time then you will be guaranteed to pay a lower amount than the current on screen price.

Requesting an item to be auctioned

If you would like to request an item to be auctioned, simply click on the ‘Request an auction’ link which is in the grey toolbar in the Auction Room and type in the stock code that you want (which can be found by browsing the main Coloured Rocks site). You can then select the hour that you would like to have the item auctioned, or choose ASAP if you would like it auctioned as soon as possible.

To help us decide whether to launch the auction, you will then need to enter the price at which you commit to bid. If the auctioneer decides to load the auction and it goes to this price (in other words, no-one outbids you!) then the item will be automatically added to your basket at that price.

If the auctioneer puts more than one of the item in to the auction - and it comes down to that price, you will be added to the list of winners. Of course, if the price then goes lower, you will only pay the final lowest price.

If a Lock in Plunge is activated above the price that you committed to, you will not be in the lock in even if it subsequently goes below that price. Bear in mind that you can always bid again at a higher price on an item you have requested in order to secure it.

Ring sizes & ring re-sizing

Many of our rings are available in multiple sizes. There are many different sizing methods around the world and with the British one there is less than 1mm difference between each of the sizes. With the huge range of rings that stock we cannot efficiently stock every UK size. Due to this, and to standardise our sizing internationally, we use American sizing as it is easier to understand for both the consumer and our manufacturing partners.

Broadly speaking, each US size is suitable for two UK sizes. So a size 5 is suitable for both a UK size J and K. Wherever rings are available in multiple sizes, there is a link to more information about these sizes that will help you choose the right one.

All of the rings we sell at Coloured Rocks can be resized up or down by at least one American size or two UK letter sizes. If a ring does not have gems set on the shoulder and as long as the gems are not channel set, then they normally can be resized considerably more. For rings that are only available in one size, or for people that need rings that are smaller or larger than the range of sizes on offer, we have negotiated a service where all rings can be re-sized for just £10 (plus the cost of sending the ring to our re-sizing partner). You will receive a re-sizing form with your order.

You can also order a free ring size measuring kit whenever you order a ring from us. This will enable you to check your ring size.

Why we don’t include chains with pendants

At Coloured Rocks we do not normally provide a chain with most of our pendants, but instead we offer you the choice of dozens of options to suit your mood. When you add the pendant to your basket we will offer you a wide selection of chains so that you can complete the look in your own style.
